Technical Project Manager

Serve as a Technical Project Manager on the team at CIP Reporting with a customer implementation mission. Be part of a dynamic team that works closely with customers. The ability to be flexible is important as customer requirements can shift. Be eager to learn new technologies and methodologies. The customer atmosphere is collaborative and welcomes ideas that can improve productivity or simplify workflow. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys problem solving, has extraordinary customer service skills, and has strong documentation skills.


Under minimal direction, perform as a Technical Project Manager to support the overall design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of customer projects based on the CIP Reporting platform.


Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:


  • Participate and/or Conduct Customer Meetings
  • Documenting Customer Requirements
  • Creating Application Wireframes
  • Document Application Workflow
  • Author User Stories and Test Cases
  • Curate, Prioritize, and Manage a Backlog of User Stories

Skills and Qualifications

Must be flexible, able to work in a highly collaborative environment, juggle multiple tasks at once, and work independently and collaboratively as needed. Must have superior interpersonal skills and strong communication skills and be comfortable working directly with customers and senior leadership.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 4 years of related overall experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices of technology
  • Have a great sense of humor and be fun to work with – culture is important to us
  • Be willing and able to spend a work week in Costa Rica at least twice a year
  • Speaking Spanish as a second language is a plus

CIP Reporting is a startup minded company with both existing and new customers. We develop a software platform that customers use to create custom applications for their businesses. The software platform includes web based, desktop, mobile, and server software. There are a lot of different technologies put together into one system to make it all work and a rapidly growing team of people making it happen.
